A great group to join is the Parents, Friends, of Lesbian and Gays or PFLAG.org which has over 400 chapters that provide confidential peer support, education and advocacy in communities in nearly all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico.

To learn more about how to organize a Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA) at your school, please contact the Gay / Lesbian Student Education Network (GLSEN).
